I received a trade offer from Kmorisoli that was suspiciously in my favor.  Since I have plenty of feedback and he has none, he agreed to send first. I also asked what else I could add to even it up and we came up with a few more cards for me to add (in a different conversation which I deleted once i packaged everything up).

I received his card in the mail today. It is a different card and an OBVIOUS fake, also unprotected and in heavily damaged condition.  I will contact him but wanted to start this process in case he attempts to leave me a negative review as retaliation.  Obviously I will not complete the trade and dont even want to waste the stamp to send the piece of cardboard back. Please advise (this is my first litigation and negative experience on here in about a year or trading).

just a little note to say, here have been few incidents when people traded fake cards, sometimes new collectors ends up with them by buying bulk and not knowing any better. Hopefully this is learning curve to your trader & you can explain to him that it is illegal to exchange/sell fake cards, and how to spot fakes in future. (We all have been there at some point, remmeber buying bulk of cards for my son years ago - then to be told they were all fakes, luckily i never traded them but was told by someone in this hobby)

 

when it comes to new traders i do tend to ask for pic exchange - just in case 🫶

Thanks for the advice Fidough. I reached out to him and explained the situation.  Trying to be as courteous and amicable as possible while acknowledging that its not good practice to trade knock offs.  Luckily for me, ive been on here a year almost now and have had about 40 good trades to this single bad one.  Sounds like others are having issues with him as well now though...sad to see.
